The 10th China (Hunan) International Mineral and Gem Expo (CMGE) is about to begin. Exhibitors are in full swing to set up the booths to showcase their treasures to the world between July 8 and July 12.
On July 6, in the core exhibition area on the first and the second floors of Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, workers were busy in orderly working on booth construction, pavilion cleaning, equipment tuning and other layout work.
The CMGE will be held both offline and online. The offline exhibition covers about 60,000 square meters, and there are around 1,000 international standard booths and 42 special booths.
It has been learned that the area of the offline exhibition this year will be doubled compared with the previous years. Dedicate goods one after another will come to the exhibition site the day before the exhibition.
There are four themed areas, involving displaying mineral crystals, colorful gemstones, mineral fossils and handicrafts. The online CMGE is displayed through the CMGE Cloud, with 30 VR panoramic booths and 500 standard booths. At present, all booths have been reserved and all services before the opening ceremony are being carried out orderly.
“For this CMGE, we have created some cultural and creative products and furniture related to mineral gems that are reasonably priced, hoping that minerals can come into ordinary households,” said Wu Min, standing vice president of Chenzhou Mineral Crystal Professional Committee.
This CMGE will also add an auction. Meanwhile, in order to spread the mining culture and cultivate the interest of geological science among primary and secondary school students, Chenzhou Mineral Crystal Professional Committee has selected a group of little mineral masters, who will share and sell the mineral specimens at the exhibition to promote the ore culture.
It is understood that a CMGE trading center has been established in the east of the first floor of Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, with an area of 10,000 square meters. It is expected to serve as a one-stop purchasing platform for nationwide buyers. The center has gathered nearly 30 top mineral and gemstone collectors and merchants in Chenzhou.
Furthermore, a 1,000-square meter science popularization area has been built on the second floor to educate and entertain young people through science education, to show the history of minerals and gemstones and the development of the universe, and to encourage young people’s interest in science as well as minerals and gemstones.
